I named my business "Carbon 11" as a reference to the fact that I don't believe that any current-day AI can be "alive" in the same way that organic life is alive.

Carbon 12 is the natural carbon isotope found in organic life on Earth. It's very stable. Carbon 11 is an artificial isotope. It's the most stable carbon isotope we can make, but it's not close to Carbon 12 in half-life. Just like current-day AI isn't close to You in your understanding of the real world.
